Hello, Friend!
Welcome to life… the curious voyage!
Are you having fun? Discovering new horizons? Tackling new challenges? Feeling terrified and electrified by your own ideas and big/small adventures?
Me, too! Me, either!
But guess what? We can do this together!
Listen, listen, listen!
It doesn’t matter if they’re brand new. Or if they’ve been hanging around for a good long while. What matters is that they exist — and keep asking for your attention.
Your dreams and ideas are worthwhile. You know they are.
When you’re ready to get going, a curious cheerleader helps.
Maybe you are one of those unicorn people who can somehow manage to do amazing shit all by yourself. But me, I am not that person. I am a scaredy cat and a weenie, and I can talk myself out of pretty much anything.
Only lately, in my early 50s, have I started throwing off the shackles of my stupid insecurities and started following those dusty old dreams that have been on the shelf since I was young.
How has this started happening? Well, part of it is certainly luck. Part of it is getting older and knowing that TIME IS A WASTING! But a big, huge, super important part of this newfound spirit of adventure is giving fewer f&@ks (!) and having a few people in my life who not only encourage me to do it — but who listen, ask questions, and create space for me to do, learn, and share.
In short, I have curious cheerleaders!
Maybe you need someone like this, too. But have, sadly, found those people to be in short supply!
Maybe I can help?
I do a few things that you might find handy. Take a peek. See what you think. And ping me if you feel inspired.
But before you do, here’s something to know.
I could really care less about helping you “get shit done.” But don’t freak out! I don’t honestly care about “getting shit done” myself either!! Why???
See below!
Because here’s something else I’ve learned.
I know! Such bullshit, right? That old line? NO!
But yet, there it is. Something I’ve heard my entire life, but have only recently started to know.
The journey is about JOY. This is life! Not a to-do list!
It’s the journey! Not the destination!
Yes, dreams and ideas are wonderful.
But they can also be cruel masters. Nag, nag, nag, nag, nag.
Lately, I’ve learned that the journey is about the satisfaction of the doing — not just the achievement. It’s about mystery. And listening. And navigating resistance.
It’s about doing things in your own weird way — and discovering what happens.
So how are you feeling now?
Are you having fun? Feeling terrified? Electrified? Curious about those dreams, ideas, and new horizons?
I know! Me, either! Me, too!
